Key findings
- From June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024, 20 cryptocurrency markets were monitored, of which 12 remained active at the end of the reporting period.
- The four markets that achieved over 10,000 listings in Snapshot during this period were ASAP, Incognito, Bohemia and Archetyp.
- In the final month of monitoring, Archetyp, MGM Grand, Dark Matter, and Torzon were the largest cryptocurrency markets.
- The average drug listings per snapshot in May 2024 will be 24,116, an estimated -8.3% decrease in listings per month compared to June 2023 (n=57,883).
- Cannabis (28%) made up the largest proportion of the drugs on the list from June 2023 to May 2024, followed by MDMA (8.2%), benzodiazepines (7.9%), cocaine (7.2%), opioids (excluding heroin) (6.9%) and methamphetamines/amphetamines (illicit) (5.8%).
- Opioids (excluding heroin) saw the highest market share increase, from 5.3% in June 2023 to 7.0% in May 2024. Hallucinogenic mushrooms saw the largest market share decrease, from 3.3% in June 2023 to 2.9% in May 2024.
