Ratio 4 A coffee car does one of two things. It makes one delicious mug of coffee. Or make two delicious coffee mugs.
Technically, you can also make half a mug of delicious coffee, or half a mug. But this is where it stops. This is the end of what the device achieves.
What a rare and wonderful achievement.
This is there. Your classic drip coffee maker is a wonderfully simple and convenient device, but avoids singletons. Even couples can look sideways. A 12 cup coffee maker will instead fit a large batch into office, diner and church socialising.
That in itself is not a major issue. But that is Size problem. Like many of us, if you live in one or two adult homes, even 8 cup carafes have coffee in IV form or leave it on the burner all day long to oxidize and oxidize. We take real responsibility unless it is oxidized. Strange. I think about this every time I pour half the sad ruins of Karaf. Little wonder people rely on pod coffee, even at the expense of flavor.

This is a situation where four are designed to solve. The four released in November are the third and smallest coffee makers designed in Portland, Oregon, company ratios.
The device fits easily under the cabinet, and its format is elegant in a modern minimalist style that contains a lot of BPA-free polymers. Made from borosilicate glass, the caraph is shaped in a familiar way. But otherwise, the specifications may appear to be a limitation. Its biggest batch measures just 4 cups and is big enough for two steamed mugs. There is only one button and there is no heating element under the caraph. Plus, the machine costs $200.
Still, after a few weeks of testing, I am sure. I don't know of any devices, but it makes single mag drip coffee this tasty and simple.
Coffee from the ratio can be surprisingly good. Especially with light and medium roasts, my cups are satisfying and full-bodied, yet sweetly whispering berries and toffees. I brewed beans that I am familiar with, but only discover new flavors.
All single women will raise your mug
But what makes four features is that it offers its fantastic single mug, or it becomes easy for two, or for two.
When you try small batches on a drip machine made for larger brewing, it usually doesn't work. It requires edges and the outcome tastes like a compromise. The coffee is either not exposed or too strong to make a cup. This is also true for flashy batch devices, including the previous 8 cup machines of the ratio. Most large machines are not designed to make great single mugs. Single serve pod coffee doesn't tend to taste great either.
