According to the latest data, the weekly sales volume of non-fungible tokens has surged by 22.5% and now stands at $93 million.
As the cryptocurrency market shows signs of slow recovery, the NFT market is enjoying an increase in trading volumes and other metrics. Here's a little glimpse:
- NFT sales rose to $93 million from $77.6 million last week.
- The Ethereum (ETH) network has dethroned the Bitcoin (BTC) network in terms of volume.
- The number of NFT buyers nearly doubled from last week's 263,804 to 494,666.
- The number of NFT sellers also increased by 108%, reaching 252,401.
Ethereum vs Bitcoin
Bitcoin, which has held the top spot, has been overtaken by Ethereum in terms of sales volume over the past seven days.
Ethereum NFT sales jumped from $26.6 million last week. Revenue has increased by more than 30% to $33.4 million at press time.
Bitcoin also surged 36%, with weekly sales reaching $21.6 million.
However, when it comes to Ethereum, $5.3 million of its trading volume is accounted for by wash trades. This is quite high compared to the $902,000 in Bitcoin wash trades.
Cryptoslam data shows that Solana (SOL) remains solid at #3, as it was last week. Solana's weekly NFT sales were $16.6 million.
Mythos Chain (MYTH) and Polygon (POL) took the next two spots on the leaderboard with sales of $5.5 million and $3.9 million, respectively.
In terms of the number of NFT buyers, Solana maintains the lead with 192,543. This is a significant increase of 220% from last week's 60,115 cases.
DMarket remains in the top position for more than 3 weeks
As in the past two weeks, DMarket maintains its ranking for highest sales with $5.2 million. However, sales were down nearly 30% from the previous week's $8.02 million.
Uncategorized Ordinals ranks second on the list with sales of $4.86 million. This NFT collection has seen a 1,800% spike in sales over the past seven days.
