Layer 1 Blockchain Injective (INJ) has launched an Ionic upgrade to Injective Bridge, a feature that enhances interoperability between multiple networks.
Ionic upgrades to promote interoperability
According to news of the upcoming Ionic upgrade to Injective Bridge, this development creates a scenario where a high degree of interoperability meets the standard user experience. Moreover, both benefits are expected to come at little or no cost.
As a result, users can easily decide to move back and forth between different blockchains such as Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and even Cosmos (ATOM). Similarly, you can also bridge specific core assets to designated addresses, giving you even more flexibility than ever before.
Over time, Injective has grown into one of the most interoperable chains in the digital asset ecosystem. This capability is demonstrated by the types of products and features that the protocol consistently introduces to the industry. At the beginning of March, Injective starts inEVM Layer 2 rollup solution on mainnet. Notably, this followed a successful testnet implementation.
The launch of this project will enable Ethereum developers to build decentralized applications (DApps) cheaply, fast, and with near-zero fees. InEVM is described as his first Ethereum virtual machine rollup that “enables true composability across Cosmos and Solana.”
The goal of this product was also to promote blockchain interoperability and expand its L2 ecosystem.
Injective remains a consistent builder
With the launch of Injective Ionic Upgrade, the protocol has established itself as one of the most consistent developers of native chains.
Before InEVM, there was a big problem. Mainnet upgrade called Volan, aims to integrate real world assets (RWA) into the blockchain realm. Volan similarly enhances interoperability by extending the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol within Injective’s framework. This facilitates seamless interaction between Injective and other chains in the Cosmos ecosystem.
Of note, greater IBC protocol utilization is another feature of the Ionic upgrade. This complements the fact that we bridge modern assets via Wormhole2.0. Beyond all these advancements that Injective has added to its arsenal, the protocol is still working towards building a core hub for the broader financial ecosystem to thrive.
“To achieve this, it is important to ensure that any assets derived from different chains can find a home and easily onboard to Injective,” announced the L1 protocol at X.
The Ionic upgrade is on the way to upgrading the Injective bridge to a new level that allows it to serve more users across diverse sectors. The latest update increased INJ’s price by 3%, pushing the token to $39.03 at a time when the overall market is facing bearish volatility pressure.
