Compared to the data published in the news release of September 13, 2024, the monthly percentage change in July 2024 is from -0.3% to -0.5% in the euro area and from -0.1% to -0.3% in the EU. Fixed. The annual rate of change was revised from -2.2% to -2.1% in the euro area and from -1.7% to -1.5% in the EU.

Method and definition

Seasonally adjusted The Eurozone and EU series are calculated by aggregating seasonally adjusted national data.

The industry as a whole covers Sections B through D of NACE rev.2. Observations from member states in recent months are missing and are therefore used to calculate the euro area and EU aggregates.
