The popular cryptocurrency-powered Brave browser continues to grow month-over-month with a focus on growth and retention, reaching over 30 million Daily Active Users (DAUs).
This is according to Brave co-founder and CEO Brendan Eich, who said in a post on microblogging platform After an increase of 1%, the number now exceeds 30 million. Monthly active users exceed 83 million using the historical measurement method and 71.6 million using the visible funnel method.
Brave Search, Brave's privacy-focused search engine, also experienced significant growth last month, surpassing 1 billion queries per minute (QPM), after growing 8.4% and reaching annual queries per minute (QPM). We're approaching the 12 billion mark.
According to Eich's data, QPM from non-Brave browser users represents about 8% of total QPM. The open source browser has grown steadily since its launch, according to regular monthly statistics published by Eich as part of the project's commitment to transparency.
Brave operates as a free web browser with built-in ad blocking and relies on the cryptocurrency Brave Attention Coin (BAT) to power its creator marketplace. Browser users can earn BAT by watching privacy-respecting ads and donate these tokens to support the content they love.
The browser has expanded over time to also support artificial intelligence (AI) features such as an assistant called Leo and a virtual private network (VPN) included in paid plans.
