Coinbase has announced its latest tools and promises to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies through new developer features.
The tool is built on Coinbase's Layer 2 network, Base, and runs on powerful technologies such as OpenAI with a development environment powered by Replit. All developers need to do is lock in their Coinbase and OpenAI API keys and Replit templates and start building customized AI agents that can perform complex cryptographic operations.
According to Murr, the tool is not only limited to Coinbase's Base network, but is also supported on other important blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon, and Arbitrum.
The launch is in line with Coinbase's expanding vision of an “Agent Web” where blockchain-powered AI-driven autonomous agents enable economic activity across the digital realm.
