YouTuber Coffeezilla is locked in a back-and-forth spat with Andrew Tate over his transformation from cryptocurrency critic to meme coin promoter.
The YouTuber, whose real name is Steven Findeisen, aired a video of Tate, who previously portrayed himself as a cryptocurrency skeptic. Coffeezilla also cited a quote from Tate, who expressed that he has no interest in minting coins or exploiting fans.
“I just want to be involved with Crypto Twitter because it's full of the most corrupt losers on the planet,” Tate once said, adding that cryptocurrencies have “zero” benefits to society. Ta. See below.
“Cryptocurrency is the only scenario I can think of where you can make a lot of money with zero benefit to society,” Tate said.
Tate, who prides himself on being a misogynist, has over 10 million followers on X.
Coffeezilla takes a closer look
Coffeezilla's investigation revealed that Tate subsequently promoted several meme coins that ultimately crashed.
One of those projects is called “ROOST,” which saw a 90% decline after Tate’s endorsement. The YouTuber also mentioned Tate's promotion of “F Madonna Token,” which similarly performed poorly.
These actions are in stark contrast to Tate's previous statements against “gambling” and “rug pulling” in the cryptocurrency space.
The investigation is specifically focused on Tate's involvement in “Real World Tokens” related to his online course, formerly known as Hustler's University.
Tate explains that the YouTuber describes the token structure as similar to a pyramid scheme. Subscribers will reportedly earn “PowerPoints” that can be converted into tokens representing a portion of the school's profits.
In 2022, Tate was arrested in Romania on charges related to human trafficking and organized crime, which further increased his notoriety.
He and his brother Tristan maintain their innocence, and his case remains the focus of international attention.
Coffeezilla attempted to contact Tate
Coffeezilla said in a YouTube video he shared with his 3.8 million subscribers that he tried to get Tate to respond to these findings.
But instead of responding to their inquiries, Tate allegedly leaked his email address and encouraged his followers to harass him.
Tate said in a recent tweet that having the power to randomly pump any coin on the chart is a lot of fun. Additionally, in another tweet, he said he wants to pump everyone's bags and give everyone money.
Tate also wonders why more famous people don't help everyone win. At this time, all claims made by Coffeezilla are unproven and remain suspect.
In the past, Coffeezilla investigated several crypto scandals, including Save the Kids Token, a charity promoted by members of the Los Angeles-based FaZe Clan.
Coffeezilla blames a number of alleged schemes, including BitConnect, SafeMoon, and various “financial gurus” such as Grant Cardone and Tai Lopez.
