BlackRock is set to launch Europe's first Bitcoin Link Exchange Trade Product (ETP).
According to reports, European Bitcoin ETP is expected to be on the market as early as February 2025. The fund is excluded as being based in Switzerland.
In particular, the move follows BlackRock's success with the US-based iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).
With assets under management of more than $4.4 trillion, the world's largest asset manager is expected to bring credibility to the European market and attract more investors' attention.
Importantly, SEC Filing revealed that BlackRock has increased its previous MicroStrategy strategy to 5%.
As of February 6, 2025, the company holds approximately 11.2 million shares. This is up from 4.09% in September 2024.
After disclosure, Strategic stocks rose 2.8% in pre-market trading to $331.90 per share.
