According to blockchain analysis platform Arkham Intelligence, an ancient Bitcoin whale dating back to 2009 just transferred $630,000 to the Kraken exchange.
The whales in question mined their BTC just one month after the first Bitcoin block was created on January 13, 2009.
Remarkably, approximately $5.5 million worth of Bitcoin was transferred to this address in just two months.
Even after these large transfers, the address continues to hold $75.23 million worth of Bitcoin.
The last migration by whales took place on October 7th. What's notable is that the whales were about the same size.
The recent transfer by one of the original Bitcoin owners comes amid intense speculation about the true identity of Bitcoin's anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
as U.Today reportedan HBO documentary recently identified Peter Todd, a prominent Bitcoin developer, as Satoshi. However, the documentary caused a strong backlash within the Bitcoin community, with Todd vehemently denying that he was Satoshi.
This transfer could be related to Satoshi, considering that very few people were familiar with Bitcoin during the first month of its existence. However, this is unlikely.
For example, back in May 2020, many people expected It means that Satoshi transferred BTC from a wallet that had been dormant for a long time. This transaction even caused a short-term drop in Bitcoin prices. However, a more detailed analysis later revealed that this transaction was not related to Satoshi.
Bitcoin prices are unfazed by the latest transfers, surging by 5.3% and now above the $66,000 level.
