Jamie Coutts, Principal Crypto Analyst at RealVision, says Bitcoin (BTC) could witness a rally of over 155% from current levels during this market cycle.
Appearing on Raoul Pal's 'The Journey Man' YouTube channel, Coutts said Bitcoin could explode into six-figure territory as the global money supply increases.
“My basic scenario is that if you look only at global M2 (money supply) and go back to August, the peak of the Bitcoin cycle, I would estimate that the price of Bitcoin would be around $100,000. I'm placing it as a potential outcome, but it's a very unlikely outcome. My proportional estimate is $170,000.
The crypto analyst also said there are “more optimistic scenarios” where Bitcoin could soar up to $234,000 or even higher.
“The question is, what probabilities do we assign to each of these potential outcomes in order to create some kind of evidence-based, probability-weighted prediction? As we said earlier, the global M2 regression line $100,000 is like my base case or worst case. And all I did was look at these other potential outcomes and assign them probabilities.
I don't think Bitcoin will go parabolic to $500,000 this cycle. I think $500,000 is in the future, not in this cycle. Therefore, the probability is very low. The result is a probability-weighted market forecast of 189,000 Bitcoin by next August, with a market capitalization of approximately $3.75 trillion. ”
According to Coutts, there is a 15% chance that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 by around mid-August 2025. Over the same period, there is a 60% chance that Bitcoin will reach $170,335, a 20% chance that it will spike to $234,000, and a 5% chance that it will reach $100,000 by mid-August 2025. Reaches $500,000.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $66,633.
