On October 2, 2023, media supporting the Islamic State Khurasan Province (ISKP) posted a poster soliciting donations of virtual currency. A poster depicting an armed jihadist asks supporters to “use your wealth to contribute to the waging of jihad” and quotes part of Quran 61:10-11, which reads: It's dark. If you know, it's best for you. ”
There was also a QR code posted for those wishing to donate. “Please donate in the secure cryptocurrency Monero (XMR) to use your wealth to wage jihad and fund those who are risking their lives to fight the same jihad,” the poster reads. was.
