Decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK) is ahead of all other crypto projects in terms of recent development activity, according to analysis firm Santiment.
Santimento Note Chainlink tops the list with an average number of notable GitHub events of 451.23 over the past 30 days.
Smart contract platform Cardano (ADA) took second place with 444.7 events, while Status (SNT) took third place with 434.5 events.
Status aims to provide users with a secure messaging app, cryptocurrency wallet, and Web3 browser through open source peer-to-peer protocols and end-to-end encryption.
Ethereum (ETH) layer 2 scaling solution Optimism (OP) ranks fourth with 411 notable events, while decentralized public network Hedera (HBAR) comes in fifth with 378.73.
Santiment said it does not count regular updates and uses “better methodologies” to collect data for GitHub events based on “backtested processes.”
The analytics firm has previously stated that large scale development activity around crypto projects is a positive sign that could mean developers believe the protocol will be successful. It also shows that the project is unlikely to be an exit scam.
At the time of writing, LINK is trading at $18.31. The 15th largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has fallen by 1.31% in the past 24 hours.
