Sam Bankman-Fried, the dishonest former CEO of FTX, has concluded his two-year silence at X in a series of posts discussing employee termination and corporate management challenges. The tweet, which came out Monday evening, sparked widespread debate and speculation among members of the crypto community.
Bankmanfried opened a thread, referring to the current situation, saying, “I have a lot of sympathy for government employees. I have not checked emails for the past few days. I am unemployed. That doesn't feel more relaxed than it looks.”
1) I have a lot of sympathy for government employees: I have not even checked my emails in the past few days
And I can make sure that being unemployed is far less relaxed than it looks

Bankman-Fried often continued to argue that the root cause of layoffs was a discrepancy between employee skills and company needs. The former FTX CEO detailed several potential scenarios, including lack of administrative support, incompatible work styles, and incompatible project benefits.
“More than that, the problem is that the company isn't doing the right job for them,” Bankmanfried said.
“Maybe we really didn't have anyone who could manage them freely at the time. Maybe they worked remotely, but our company told us directly. “I did,” he wrote.
He also pointed to departmental issues and overemployment issues, citing examples of competitors who have been overemployed and struggled to manage the workforce.
“This happens sometimes. We hired 30,000 employees at our competitors and then we didn't know what to do with them, so the whole team just didn't do anything all day,” he said. He stated the company without giving it a name. “And we saw it internally. The manager was busy, distracted, and half of the department lost its bearer at the same time.”
“When that happens, it's not the employee's fault. If their employer doesn't really know what to do with them or they don't really have someone to manage them effectively, that's not their fault. If internal politics loses its way to the department, it's not their fault,” he added.
“But there's no point in keeping them and doing nothing,” Bankmanfried concluded.

Bankman Fried recently expressed his hopes for a presidential pardon in his first interview from prison. He also criticised the Biden administration and portrayed his beliefs as part of “prosecutor's overreach” during Biden's presidency. Bankmanfried's parents are reportedly looking for ways to secure pardon for their son, including talking to individuals with lawyers with ties to Trump.
