Ethereum researcher Emmanuel Awosika posted on X alleging that Wikipedia takes an anti-cryptocurrency stance and that its coverage of Solana in particular is unfair. Awosika's allegations also called into question Molly White's involvement in editing crypto-related articles on the platform.

Molly White responded by insisting that while her involvement with Wikipedia is public knowledge, decisions within the organization are made independently and “in the open.”
Awosika claims Wikipedia has a “clear anti-crypto stance” and highlights Wikipedia’s alleged history of refusing to accept crypto donations and failing to report on crypto-related subjects. did. White is a known critic of the crypto industry, writing opinions on disinformation and free and open access values. White recently published an essay in Bloomberg in which he argued that the technology underlying cryptocurrencies “doesn't have much to offer average people in their everyday lives.”

White noted that her involvement in editing Solana's Wikipedia page was limited to a single grammatical edit to correct a capitalization error in a “non-fungible token.” This equates to her 0.2% of the total edits made to the page.
White said that most information about crypto projects, even large projects like Solana, is limited to industry publications and generally does not exceed Wikipedia's standards for trusted sources. explained.
