Blockworks: What roles are most in demand right now?
Moskowitz: Currently, almost every company in the cryptocurrency industry has a marketing officer or [chief marketing officer], there is a huge supply and demand imbalance. There is simply a lack of crypto-native marketing talent.
What I'm seeing is that there's a lot of title inflation in the crypto industry, so people can walk into a job with the title of head of marketing, and end up with marketing manager, marketing leader, etc. This means that we will be hiring people for these types of jobs. Maybe they have a few years of experience and may even be more crypto-native, like someone who worked in marketing for a few years out of school.
I think these people will be the next talent to emerge as opposed to Web2 seniors moving to Web3. Maybe he doesn't need native talent at the CMO level, but he's more like a tweeter. [individual contributor]-I think it has to be junior talent to step up to more senior titles because there aren't enough of these guys in the -level roles.
